Glutaraldehyde fumes are captured then
evacuated to the outside, thereby avoiding toxic effects for the
nurses responsible for disinfection.
Conclusive results
Atmospheric measurements of glutaraldehyde
have been made by a professional toxicology health laboratory* on
a manual AIP disinfection installation, on bronchofibroscopes in
the recommissioning of a large U.H. in France (11000 beds).
The fumes obtained are greatly below
current standards (VLE less than 0.200 ppm)
